Ingredients and Instructions

  • ¼ cup custard powder (vanilla flavoured)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder

  • pinch salt

  • 2 cup milk

  • 6 slice bread (white or brown)

  • butter (for toasting)

  • 3 slice cheese

  • honey or maple syrup (for serving)

  1. Now to prepare classic french toast, dip the bread slice in the custard mixture.

  2. Place it on hot tawa rubbed with butter.

  3. Toast on medium flame until the bread turns golden and crisp.

  4. Now flip over and start to toast. make sure to gently flip, as the centre will be very soft and fluffy.

  5. Finally, to serve classic french toast, garnish with berry or banana and a generous amount of honey.

Notes

  • Firstly, make sure to use a slightly thick slice to get fluffy toast.

  • Also, you can adjust the amount of sweetness depending on your choice.

  • Also, toasting with a generous amount of butter will make it rich and crispy.
