Ingredients and Instructions

For frying mushrooms:​

​

  1. 175 grams or 1 ½ to 2 cups Mushrooms,cut into half or quarter depending on the size

  2. 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour (Maida)

  3. 2 tablespoons Cornflour (corn starch)

  4. Salt to taste

  5. Black pepper powder to taste

  6. ½ teaspoon Ginger paste or freshly grated or crushed

  7. ½ teaspoon Garlic paste or freshly grated

  8. â…“ cup Water

  9. Oil for deep frying

For Mushroom Manchurian Recipe:

​

  1. 2 tablespoons Oil

  2. 2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped

  3. 2 teaspoons Garlic, finely chopped

  4. 1 green chilli, finely chopped

  5. â–¢½ cup Red onion, finely chopped

  6. ¼ cup Capsicum (Green bell pepper), finely chopped

  7. Salt, to taste

  8. ¼ teaspoon Black pepper powder

  9. ¼ teaspoon Red chilli flakes

  10. 2 tablespoons Soy sauce

  11. 1 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup

  12. 1 ½ teaspoon Chilli sauce

  13. 1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar

  14. 2 tablespoons Spring onion (green onion or scallion) , green part finely chopped

Frying mushrooms:​

​

  1. Clean and cut the mushrooms in half or a quarter depending on the size of mushrooms.

  2. Take all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, pepper, ginger paste and garlic paste in a bowl. And make a smooth batter by adding water.

  3. Now heat the oil for deep frying on medium heat.

  4. Once the oil is hot, dip the mushroom in the batter one by one and add to the hot oil. Do fry them in batches.

  5. Fry till they are crispy and golden brown from all the sides.

  6. Remove and keep on a paper towel-lined plate.

Making Mushroom Manchurian Dry Recipe:

​

  1. Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat. Once hot saute ginger, garlic and green chilli for few seconds without burning them.

  2. Then mix in onion and capsicum, cook till they are soft.

  3. Now mix in salt, pepper and red chilli flakes.

  4. Now add soy sauce, ketchup, red chilli sauce and vinegar. Stir to combine and let it come to a boil.

  5. Then turn off the stove and cool for 2 minutes only. Then add fried mushrooms, spring onion greens and mix.

  6. It is ready to serve.

  1.  Serve mushroom Manchurian dry as a starter or snack.
